I think gold button or coin

Went digging hour and a half this evening. I believe I found something gold, not gold plated, thinking button or maybe a coin. Seens like it got burnt really bad and its very thin, little smaller then a trime(the trime in photo wasnt found today). Also I found a fancy flat button. At a early to mid 1800s homesite.

Isn't a 1850s one dollar gold coin same or a little smaller then a trime and as thin?
