Historic gold panning site

This is an historic gold panning site from the 1800's now a state park.
Known as Negro Bar, it was home to gold panning my several ethic groups.
View is from a cliff on north side of the American River, facing
east towards the Rainbow Bridge.

That's the first thing I noticed too. Awesome looking place
