I'm just going to throw it out there. I have no idea.

It seems lighter than lead and is some sort of metal. It is a colour I am not familiar with when seeing corroding metal. Light brown rust and it is like sand paper? I found it at at about 8 inches deep in dark soil.

Just want to make sure it is not cryptonite . I realize it may be hard to tell. Just hoping someones knows.

Perhaps (not to dash your hopes) but someones attempt to pour concrette?.. and simply thrown the slag (left 0ver) away.

Not hoping... I looked at it under a
30 x micro scope. Just looks weird. Definitely not concrete as it gives a signal with MD. I've pulled 1000 things from the spot... none with this color. Just making sure it is not uranium or ....lol. probably nothing.

Could you break open a small surface, if you think its a rock. Would like to see a freshly exposed surface.

I think it could be related to limonite in one way or another. (as a first impression)
