Stopped by my local dump today to do some scrounging. Found a nice pile of silver-plated knickknacks and mixed in with them I found these 4 really nice 90% silver treasures.

The cups with the birds on the handles are wine tasting cups and the little octagonal cup and saucer are a tea set. They are all marked "900 Sener" which according to my research means they are 90% silver and were made by the Åžener Silver company in Istanbul Turkey. Combined the little hoard weighs 232 grams of 90% silver. First treasure of 2016!

UnderMiner,

Pretty good haul for your efforts....that's about $75.00 just as scrap should be able to get a bit more selling to collectors.

Congrats on pulling silver. They are no longer in fashion, I have seen plenty going cheap at yard sales over the years.

There's $125 in scrap value based on what a refiner would pay a walk in for silver today. Congrats on the latest winnings, the bird and pattern + being silver there would be a big upside in the market place.
