Daughter and I working on a tip. Sledding hill used from the late 70's to late 90's. Became private property and is no longer used. Wasn't expecting any silver, but figured there would be clad for the easy pickings, and good practice for my daughter who got her ACE 350 for B-day. Still cant understand how or why there is so much clad even for an obviously virgin area, hard to believe, but we were literally stepping on clad. Very little trash. Some surface finds and popped 75% of it out with screw drivers. Had to keep reminding the little one this was not a typical day. Lol. It was a blast of a time. We worked it for 7 hours on Sat and another 5 hours today with more to find. We were exhausted! I even went back for an hour today on way into work and pulled a gold 10k ring and .925 charm with diamonds I believe. Will test tomorrow when I get home. Here is the haul.
Sat-Sun clad count.
79 pennies.
11 nickels.
52 dimes.
27 quarters.
Daughters first ring. Toe ring .925
Today.
9 quarters
1 dime
2 pennies
10k gold ring
.925 charm with unknown stones
Solid copper Letter P with lightning bolt. Have no idea what it is.
Can't wait to go back.
