Home with the mystery bags, they weren't bags.

Well, for those of you who saw my post earlier this week about getting canvas bags this is what they had when I got there, 2 Garda skunk wrap boxes( and they lived up to their name). They told me that they had never ordered half dollars before and asked what I was going to do with them of course. So, I'm not sure I'm going to order from them again, I usually do Brinks boxes anyway and this makes a total of 4 Garda that I have ever tried ( all skunks), so I'm sticking with Brinks.

So, totals for this week-

tuesday- 2 boxes Brinks Halves, Box 1= 1 68, Box 2= skunk
Friday - 2 boxes of Garda halves= 2 skunks

And so starts the skunk streak at 3.

Not so lucky of a Friday the 13th for me, but I'm glad to see some of you did good( especially Rileyboy, whata score he got!)

i absolutely HATE those skunk wrappers, i get them all the time and they never have silver in them, but recently, timzim's dumps.

I've only done 1 garda box. It wasn't a skunk ( 1 - 40% ) but I've gone with brinks since then and had a lot more luck.

Honestly in the long run it probably doesn't matter. But we go what we fell comfortable with.

And rileyboy's find was great. It's crazy that coins like that can still be found in the till. HH

Yup, everytime I've recieved these wraps they have been skunks, but then again I've had plenty of skunks with white and gold or brown ones too, lol. 4 more boxes next week from my normal route, so, I'm hoping for better results next week, it was friday the 13th and I tried something new, 2 strikes against me. Hey Ben Ro, yes I think your right too, it probably doesn't matter who we use, there'll be good and bad in all of them. It just works better for my system to search Brinks and dump into Garda, makes my route easier. HH, Maverick.

also as a more experienced half dollar searcher(by no means am i a vet at half dollars), i've seen good batches and bad batches come through the past few years... you'll get a batch for a few weeks loaded with silver, go a while without silver, sometimes months, and score again... it's a vicious cycle, but the loaded boxes are why we keep at it.

two bad boxes might not be enough to give up on a source that will order you two boxes a week. maybe try a couple more times to get a better sample size. at least they weren't searched rolls right? lol (-: good luck on the next batch!

hokiemojo! Man, I was wondering if you were gona check to see the results. Your right, at least they weren't searched rolls, lol, I'm laughing, but still feel bad about your continued batches of open and searched dumps. It's a shame you had to stop for a while, but I know you were at that, " If it happens 1 more time" point, that I probably would have too.
