✅ SOLVED Hood ornament, belt buckle, broken slide necklace????

I found this in the trash pit I have been digging in. The first skinny photo looks like it was attached to something and It looks like a small piece was broke off the end of the second skinny photo.

At first I thought it was silver, because it is very heavy, then I notice a couple of rust spots on it. Any feedback would be appreciated!

I looked at a whole bunch of hood ornaments but didn't see the exact one you have. I guess it to be an ornament but can't find the exact one.

I think it is a decorative part off a chandelier or light fixture. Cherubs were a popular motif way back.

I think what you have found is the base to a Victorian Figural Mirror that was on a ladies vanity. During Victorian times, a ladies vanity had very elaborate brushes, combs, mirrors, perfume bottles, etc. Angels and cherubs were very popular. Below are a few examples of Vic. vanity mirrors. I think Breezie, DC and cuda are on the right track with the accent piece off of a mirror or something like that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
