Hello All,
Hit one of the older homes in my neighborhood today. About 8 hrs. Hit it Monday for about 45 mins and found a neat Cigar Case with 1925 Dragon Club etched on it. There was something attached to it at one time and was missing. (until today) I actually found the small 1 inch or so metal Dragon that goes on it. Also found a matching cigarette case that had the same dragon and Dragon Club 1932 etched on it as well. (about 40 yards away). But it gets better! 2 silver Quarters, 2 Merc Dimes, 3 silver war nickels (4 this week) with 12 wheaties to boot. 1 quarter and 2 war nickels were in the same hole. Pins, shotgun shells, keys, copper lipstick case and lots of nails. Had $3.26 in Clad as well. Found what I think was a pet urn. (put it back) Little bit of everything, what a day!!!
Thanks for looking,

Thanks Partenr, still haven't covered it all yet. Although, most of the best areas I did manage to hit.

Hello Antiquarian,
Thanks for the kind words, I am not sure how old it is. I think it is made of copper. The house was built in the late teens or twenties. I found it next to the driveway, so no telling. I am not sure how to date it. I didn't see anything written on the back.

Great day !! :icon_thumleft: :headbang:

Keep @ It and HH !! ;D :D

Great finds! In regards two your pet urn, I have found two similar items in the past which I quickly and properly laid to rest. One was not quite so old. I found a baggie buried between a large grove of old scrubs in an old neighborhood. It contained someones pet canary. I estimated it had been there for a few years.

Back in 1989, off the corner of a large farmhouse built around 1890 in Griffiths Bay in Chautaugua County, NY. where I am from, I got a big hit. It was a large cast iron pot that contained the bones of what I guests was a much love cat.

Thanks Mud!

Hey Archmjr,
These were my first, it was a light weight aluminum gold colored urn. Didn't know what it was, though it was another large soda can at first until I dug it up. Placed it back better then how I found it. It had turned on its side over the years. Didn't seem that old though.
If that is you in the avatar, thank you for your service.

It's obviously an ID bracelet of some type. The script looks to be late Victorian or early Edwardian in nature. Now knowing that it's made of copper makes me think that it might have been silver plated at one point. I wonder what type of strap it might have had though? :icon_scratch: Maybe something made of cloth or embroidery or some type? That would certainly explain why nothing survived that might have shown how it was attached to it's owner.

Thanks for your response Bunker, :hello:
Dave
