Hopefully Not the Last Hunt...

...but the snow was coming down as I left the field. Should be able to squeeze a couple more in before freeze up. Nothing spectacular...a 3 ringer and a couple new/old coins. Of all the coins I've found in the last 5 years this is only the second 5 cent i've found of this style.

Always said a LC and a old nickel made for a good hunt. Still these nickels have a great design, over the Beaver.

Bottles are good! I've developed a new appreciation for them. I've got about 50 in my garage which need to be cleaned. Winter project.

Yeah, I know. This was just the field beside my house that IH and I hunted. I'll actually get another hour or so out there this afternoon so if I get a decent target I may have to call it a season. Don't want to go out on a downer!

Beautiful here today and 100% clear ground but I see the colder temps are on the way, and are here to stay.

Never thought about it, but you are right, don't get many big "5" nickels, have way more big (older) coppers. Hope you are right about not the last hunt too. See some posting year end totals, south of us, I can't till the large lady sings, around dec 31.
