Finally decided to get Jim Bennett's opinion on this 3.75 inch piece that I acquired in an old collection. It has beeen discussed here previously, with the discussion mostly about the definition of 'uniface.' Anyway, here is Jim's professional opinion; so interesting!
"Unifaced Blade – Authentic. However, this is actually flaked from both sides off of a large spall flake. Interesting note, the ancient damage to the tip is fire damage."
