Horse shoe nail?

Is this a horse shoe nail? 1 1/2 inches long.

Ouch!!! for a horseshoe nail. Poor horse!!!

Believe it or not, its not too big to be a horseshoe nail - they have sizes up to 4-1/2 inches. Horse shoe nails do not go into the foot of a horse, it goes into the hoof wall, then is cut and bent over on the outsides and filed down. (like your fingernails )

But - what you have there is a good old fashion cut nail.
