Found these two pieces in same hole about 6" down back up on the ridge where I have been detecting these past few months. I finally got most of the rust off but still no clue what it was.
I did also find multiple square head nails in same vicinity along with a very old horse or ox shoe.
Would like your thoughts on what it could be
