Horse shoe? Oxen shoe?

Found this today and I have to say I've never seen a horse shoe like this. Broken perhaps? Or oxen? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

It looks to be a broken horseshoe.

Yes,def. a broke horse shoe....sometimes for what ever reason a shoe wasnt changed and through wear,the toe(front)is weakened....therefore would "break".There is no other way a Horse shoe can,or would break

Those guys are right, toe grab and heel caulk (cork) are in place, looks like it was probably for a hind foot.
