Hot day in the field produces 2 coppers and a dandy

It was hot today but got out for an afternoon hunt with Lost Signal. Grass is growing so fast we really just had nooks and crannies to search but had a good day. Together we found a buckle, 8 buttons including a nice dandy with a pattern around the edge and two coppers. The coppers are pretty toasted but I'm pretty sure one is KGII and one KGIII.

The tombac was my best find, so this was a very typical hunt with mbcuce. I found three buttons, a tack, a buckle, and some scraps. He found four buttons, including a decorated dandy, and two coppers.
We're using the same machines, and this happens every time.
I have left my detector in his truck, in the past, and I'm wondering if he might have tampered with it.
