✅ SOLVED Hotel key fob ??

I found this by a late 1800's house. Stumped as to what it was used for....perhaps a hotel key fob or locker fob?
double reversed B's. Any ideas?

It is obviously something people wore? Maybe an identification of being a police man or area legal enforcer/security guard? Oh I just found, "BB" is a security lisc. level in OH. see
