I Can push My Shovel in 10 inches without any Resistance.

Bad Parts, Maintenance Told me the Place used to be the town Dump.
which is easy provable, by digging those super deep targets.
they all turn out to be very old rotting tin etc.
and allot of the ground is coal dirt under clean fill.

I'm guessing ball field only goes to about 1900 tops.

I'm Guessing since Photos show it in 1938,
The W.P.A. Didn't build the Ball field ?
& Probably just the rock wall in 1940

Unless they started a few years earlier






Oldest Coin I remember finding there was a 1902 Canadian Dime.
Though I Can't be Sure It wasn't mine in 7th Grade (1967)
As they used to Bus us Down there when Schools Districts first United.
The place is now The Borough Office Etc.

Or some other Kids Collectable.

anyway in 1967 they used to walk us down to the field
for Gym Classes & Being I did Collect coins back then, It always Had me wondering





The Borough workers Have invited Me up to hunt it.
Haven't had any Luck the One time we did go up.
But that would be another Sunday Hunt.

Vehicles in the Field, And drawing Lines in it & the Parking Lot.
