OK, yesterday I said that I had heard something special about this house, so I guess I will go ahead and let you know what I heard. As the LEGEND goes, it seems like quite a few years ago there were the speed freaks that lived in this house, and they had a lab going making speed, the old smelly way, not the way they do it now. Well, one day the husband gets pissed off at his wife and throws his wedding ring outside. This is supposed to be one nice ring with a big rock! Naturally this leads to an all out war between the two, and grows to the point of both of them throwing each others belongings out in the yard. This includes jewelry, money, clothes, you name it. It got so bad that the husband shoots the wife, and by this time the cops had already shown up, and a standoff ensued with shots being fired. In the end they finally got the guy.
Of coarse everyone and their dog hauled off everything they could get their hands on that the cops didn't take. Even though a lot of jewelry was found and taken, the ring was never found, SUPPOSEDLY. Coins were continueally found up to today when I finally came around.
I hunted the front yard all morning being very through. I can't hunt the flower beds which is a large part of the front yard, even though sometimes my coil would accidentally swing over them. I don't know if the "ring" was thrown out the front or back door. I do know that I didn't find it. I did however, find 110 coins. I thought that was strange because that is how many I found at house #1. Along with the coins, I found a 38 shell casing, two fired slugs, one seems to be a 38 and the other a 45, a little round strainer, and a hood ornament off of an Oldsmobile. I found a bunch of other stuff, but nothing worth mentioning. Now I have all of the front yards done and will start on the backyards next. And that my friends, is the rest of the story.

Sucks you had to lose that bike! I think I would have accidentally ran my detector over the flowers too (any signals?). When there is a large ring at stake you have to at least skim over those flowers. If you don't get any interesting signals at least you will know. ;)
If you just happen to get a suspicious signal, well..... ::) Good luck on the back yards.

It's a long story, but loosing that bike, and trying to recover it, cost me 12 years of running and hiding. Now I'm finally getting that all behind me. In January it should all be over and behind me for good.
