Hello Everyone,

I just made this pendant and am curious if the beads are stone or not? Are there any easy ways to tell?

I also have these close up pictures.

Thanks for looking.

Yes, those appear to be several different stones. The purple stone appears to be dyed and maybe the yellow-green one; but the rest I think are natural.

The center stone is banded Agate.
The green with the black spots looks a lot like Nephrite Jade.
The blue appears to be Sodalite.
The orange-yellow is probably Carnelian Agate.
The yellow-green-grey bright stone looks like a Moss Agate that has been dyed, but I'm not sure. :dontknow:

Thanks BB!
I figured that the yellow and purple ones were probably enhanced, but I can still at least call them stone beads. That's good news!
The blue one is my favorite, so its cool to know the name.
Any guesses on the red stone, is it probably just red jasper?

Probably Chalcedony. Some can get pretty red, but most red-colored Chalcedony is more translucent. May be dyed too; hard to distinguish.

One easy trick to tell is take a needle and heat the tip with a flame then touch the "rocks" on the underside so it wont damage them. If the needle sinks into them they aren't real. If nothing happens they are real.

The yellowish-green could be serpentine.
