Proof will be designated PR. Proofs are near perfect, handled individually, and packed. They are also struck twice to have better definition.. The field will be mirror like and newer ones the figures a satin against the highly polished field..
 

Proofs are generally sealed in cases so they cant be mistakenly opened and scratched.
They are also marked with a certification label
Your coins definitely are not of proof quality, sorry

The business strikes are a matte surface.

On the Walking Liberty even the proofs don't have the mirrored background, but they are "silky". Most years of the Walkers there were no proofs, and once "loose" it's hard to tell. There were 21,120 proofs struck in 1942.
