How do you know if the Equinox 900 needs a software update?

I have an Equinox 900 with both 11” and 6” coil and came with mew pin pointer. I was wondering how to tell what software version it is on? I have a Nokta Legend and it tells you what software version it is, but I have not figured out the 900 yet.

Look on the Minelab website to see if there even is an update. I'm not aware of one, but, I haven't actually checked myself. I think when you plug the detector into your computer it gives you the option of which software to use if there are more than one.

I just updated, and had the same thought, because I also have a Legend and it shows you. What I did was, while I still had the download on my PC, I plugged in again to the update and pressed "install", it showed my 900 to be updated to the latest version, whatever number it is.
