How far

Well we don't have dirt, we have sand down here in Lakeland. Pretty easy digging, beats the hello out of digging at my place in PA, it's all rocks and clay.

Plus it's a lot warmer down here.

Grounds not frozen in Southern Ohio or probably where you are now either? Its almost 60 degrees today.

Grounds not frozen here in VA yet either, but when it does I can usually find a place in the woods or under pine trees that is only froze on top. Just makes me work a little harder.

Actually go east! We still have diggable ground here in Mass.!
But hurry, cause not sure how long this will last!

with the mild winter we are having in VA this year i do not see a problem with digging straight through to spring.

Wanna dig some horseshoes here in TN.? Year round "digging". Bring a pick ax, some energy and a lot of patience. Maybe just maybe we'll find one of those small round things in a hole... forgot the name of them. Not musket balls... their small, thin and sometimes have dates on them... Sorry I forget the name of'em. It'll come back to me if I see one!!!! But I know my horseshoes... halves and whole shoes.

Glad to see you're still rackin up those horseshoes Brad! A very Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I may need a pick axe to finish out the holidays and weekend. When I have to pack it in with detecting , I will have to find another "sanity saver". :(
