Hello to all guys and gals out there, I have been wondering for some time just how lucky so of us our when it comes to rings, I would assume that this forum has most of the best ring hunters to hear from. I don’t want to know your secrets just about your good fortune. As for me I’ve found approx. 35 rings mostly silver a few gold and 1/3 costume. I know this is nothing compared to some of you people. Thankyou ,

Got 6 in a week last week....4 gold, 1 silver, and one stainless !! 15970634479331081254890737025823.webp
Happy hunting my friend....may you have good luck !!

all with the EQX 600. All underwater in 4 ft.

That’s great, I’m looking for a life time total. Best guess

I have found some very nice ones, including diamond rings in the past. I have primarily done dry sand, but last year and this I have hardly gone to the beach. This year its just too hot. I have never found many, 2017 was my best year.

I can't count that high.....over 1000 at last count......including the junk rings.

No clue for total. This year I'm at 2 gold, three silver and 7-9 tungsten n plated/ junk. Not a good year for me since I've been swinging hard with little to show.

You have a very respectful ring count...By far one of the harder treasures to find.

The Best Site for Gold Ring hunters is now gone, Treasure Depots ........Ring Daddies...never be another.

Luck plays a very small part in ring hunting..... I think most is knowledge, skills, having the right machines, being near a major body of warm water....

and so on...then for me, being Blessed in many ways. As far as numbers, I only see my success as "Being Able" to get out and enjoy the hobby.

Hopefully I have several more years left as being a Old Pirate..

Stay safe, healthy .... Best of Luck.....And Continue the Mission!

Very well put. The biggest reason I even asked the question was A local MN guy was bragging that he has found well over 1000 rings, it’s not that I don’t believe him , but let’s face it he does not live on either coast. And even at that you have to put a lot of time there

As far as finding thousands of rings, it is possible for sure...specially if you were hunting the water in the 80's..some wild tells about those days.

Where you could go hunting and come home with a handful of gold...Now days if you find a ring it's a good thing..less are wearing gold, spending money on tattoo's and with the cost of gold new age metals are very popular.

I know a few who hunt in the Wisc , Minn area..it's tough hunting specially with short seasons.

Four rings total in a year on the beach.

However, the first one was a man's wedding band, gold and platinum. Found it on my very first day out with my 800, so I got spoiled

Got 3 more this week. 3 hunts total for 9 rings, 6 golds, 2 silvers, and a stainless steel. As far as totals for my life ??? Wow...good question ?? I don't think a thousand but many hundred golds for sure....they build up....I sell....they build up again. Sold some chains and rings a few years back and got my truck. I don't hunt for them as actively as I used too.....all my time is devoted to the Spanish treasure most hunts. Just decided to go and hunt fresh drops since the gold spike. So you really have to keep your focus and stick with it to get the count up. I wish I could hunt more than once or twice a week, I think that would increase gold production. Living in Florida helps...I forget how many million tourists we have a year swimming down here but odds go way up when that many people get in the water. I'm gonna make one round of all my fresh drop swim spots and see what I can pull !! Then back to the Spanish hunt !! When you start to get on the 8 reales its really hard to hunt the fresh drops as bona-fide treasure fever hits !!20200623_221534.webp well....it becomes like ahab and the white whale....a full on obsession !!

here's a video of terry that OBN was talking about....check out the 8 min mark to see some rings !!

I’ve found two gold items this year. An 18K ring and an 1847 10D. I mostly hunt for older coins but will hunt Tahoe occasionally.
