Broke my back searching for gold. Finally found the tiniest speck of a ring. Also found a mercury dime and half dollar. I can't tell you how many dozens of pounds of trash I threw out. These were the keepers. If anybody knows of a metal detector that screens out lead please let me know.

Crisp, That's a question for an alchemist! But I really have a need and could put you on a market for all that tackle. Those sinkers sell at retail for 1-1.50 ea, and when I made them for the local tackle stores sold wholesale for .50-.75 each. Being salt water oriented they are a little bigger than I poured, but the local dealers, and fishing poers would be a good place to market them. Looks like you have a productive weekend! Gary

With lead selling at .40 cents a pound scrap price, you need 60 pounds to equal 1 gram of 14k...or 240, 4oz pyramids. :tongue3:

You need to lock in the spot price of gold, which currently has been sinking faster than lead.

Crispin...By weight 1.7 units of lead = 1 unit of gold. By price, about 47lbs of lead. Lead =$.9526/lb. gold =$ 45.16/gram

the first picture,,is being used for a pendulum..nice to make it for dowsing,,

Think of it this way. At 40¢ a pound for scrap lead, each 4 oz weight you find is another dime.

Your finds pouch must have been down around your ankles with that much lead! Nice ring!
