How Much Are These US Gold Coins Worth?

Not detecting finds, but someone local is trying to sell them. I've been buying up gold soveriegns for investment purposes, and I wondered what a good "buy" price would be for these two:

1909 Gold $2 1/2 Indian ICG Graded EF45

1904 Gold $20 UNC

According to PCGS the base line for EF condition for the 1909 would be 240 bucks. For the 1904 AU 60 is 2850.

Just go to Ebay and do a search for exactly the coin you have,then on the left side of the screen click on 'completed items' this will tell you exactly what they are trading for today...Shoot

I would say the 2-1/2 at $240-280. The Liberty head could go anywhere from $800-10,000 depending on the mint state. I can't get the picture big enough to see what that may be but let's say it's a 63 then at about $1200.

Thanks a lot lads. I just bought them both for 700 euros, or $932 (us dollars). I think I got a good deal.

I would say that you have been given good advise . On Ebay they alots of times go higher than book price or say if you have silver and check out coininflation and ebay is always a lot higher...but too they have their hand out for that 13% fee money. Kudos I think that you mad a good buy on those coins ,Ed

I am not sure where folks are referring to on Ebay, but what people are asking is far and wide. I just purchased some semi-key date V nickels and the common ones were either slightly below price, or 300x the book value for the same coins in the same condition.
