According to this fellow, in 1923, one billion dollars worth was still available. That's more than 84 billion in today's dollars... just in California! (Keep digging, Judy, we're getting closer!) TTC

And If you need more gold and a change of scenery try Australia.

You KNOW there is another "Boot of Cortez," buried somewhere in the Arizona desert or mountains. It is there, waiting patiently for that coil to swing over it..

Oh there's no secrets here.. Gonna check out a new claim from a new club I joined. Thanks to Rod for turning me on the antelope valley treasure hunters. Gonna hit there rocky road claim. Dry placer. Heard it was pretty good, gonna run a few yards a see wuts in the pan. :)

Gonna be by myself again and it's always interesting out there solo. Cross your fingers, this is new ground for me. Updates to follow after trip.

No worries Scott I'll be there too. Yellow metal gold here we come.
I'm tracing the roads on Google Earth back and forth and up and down.
We will get there in prime shape. I'm even bringing extra water for panning and to run the recirculate sluice.:goldpan:

Just like being out there with good friends, good food, and good ol fun. Gold is just the icing!!

I'll be bringing my 151, MD and half the Bowen Mining Corporation. I'd rather have it and not need it than... The coach is ready, I'm ready.
It was 26º at Edwards AFB this morning, but 32º near Red Rock Canyon.
The forecast for the Red Rock to Ridgecrest area is good. H 60s L mid 30s. and mostly sunny.
You just sleep and get better and dream about where we will be in 4 days.
You're going to have a dream about where the nugget patch is.
