Scott and/or Don, how do you think I did on this? I don't know how to grade bills (or coins for that matter), but this is my red seal $5. It WAS a star note by the way. It was a little more worn than I thought it would be, but regardless of value, I am still happy.

That bill came in two forms: with/without the motto, "In God We Trust" on the reverse--over the Lincoln Memorial. Without the motto the '08 Red Book gives a retail value (in VF-20) as $75; with the motto, the value was $20.
You did well either way.

Mine has the motto, but I'm not complaining. Would you grade it as VF-20 or lower?

Got my silver cert in the mail today, it's still pretty crisp feeling. I paid $4.99 and the guy sent it in a bill holder and everything. I like this one too.
