Set with raw quartz...nice.

I'm not knowledgeable enough really to guess age.

But it's a nice find and looks rather old to me.

Artisan/handmade...I'm wondering if there wasn't another stone in the center at one time, and what it was if so.

I WAS going to say that it appears more of a matter of being "sandblasted" for years vs. just being exposed to saltwater...but now not so sure, after looking at it a little closer... cool find, good luck with the mystery! Ddf

Very interesting and unique! I would have it tested by a trusted jeweler. Sub 8-)

Could it be white gold ? Definitely have it tested ! Could it be safely cleaned with a bit of electrolysis ? As to age , it has a modern feel to it - I think 1960's /70's would be my guess .

Wow that is something else!
Love everything about it!
Congrats on a truly unique piece no matter how old it is!

all i know is I really like it

There wasn't another stone in the center 100% because nothing is there which would hold it there.
I was scratching a bit with a knife from inside and this is usual yellow gold, stamp says 585.

The age is intresting mystery but I also thinking, is there a slidest chance, that the stones are not worthless zircon...?

Trusted jeweler form my side is about 6 days away from me, so this fare I must guess and read the forum :)

if its marked 585 - would not think much older than 150 yrs - it looks more like silver than gold - have a jeweler look at it
crystal are cool - are there any hallmarks or just the 585?

I think Barbarella dropped that off her spaceship. Cool find

Being a Jeweler, I too date it around the 70's, hand faceted quartz and is looks silver to me, could be white gold, back then the hobbyist folks would get alloys of gold and silver mixed by mistake, Have seen that more than a few times, the Black tarnish says that to me. The design is pretty cool. Nice find in any event.
