How soon can you go on a GPAA claim after buying membership?

My dad is coming into town next week and I was planning on joining GPAA so we can have a place to go camping and panning. If I buy a membership now, can I go immediately or do I have to wait until everything comes in the mail? Also, are there any spots near Auburn or NORCAL where we can legally camp for a few nights and throw the pans and sluice in? Any and all help is appreciated. It's our first trip this year!

First off, odds are that nobody is going to ask, and nobody is going to care.....

Just print out your receipt, for a "just in case" situation.

Your renewal is due 1 year from the date you paid, not the date you got your cards in the mail..
I wouldn't stress over it.

where are you in norcal

If you don't have the receipt number, call Lisa, Ann, Jenn, or others in Temecula to get it. Check with them. They will likely tell you immediately. CATION: Italian Bar (LDMA) requires a short "course" before looking there. Maybe the I.D. card too. Check with "Mooch" there. ╦╦Ç

Im in the Bay Area, but we are willing to go anywhere up North. If you have any recommendations, I'm open to them. Thanks.

I would suggest Italian Bar. Patented claim. 160 acres. RV and tenting. South fork of the Stan. Near Columbia. Several motels and restaurants. Nearest to Bay Area. ╦╦Ç

From Auburn, try their claim on the American River.

I started detecting their claims about four-years before my membership material arrived. In fairness though, I didn't pay for my membership for three-years and 11-months.

Hey Terry. Do we have anyone RENTING rigs out to weekenders for panning, recirculating, or other methods? If not, someone needs to. ╦╦Ç

There was a shop in Wickenburg, renting equipment, don't know if he is still there. I farm folks out to Bill Southern now. He hired my buddy Mike Furness. I also send some work Calvin Bunker's way, but he is so busy making Hermit Picks he doesn't do as many jobs as he used to. :skullflag:

You still owe me a BEER! Terry

I got it, and I hope to pop it for you one of these warm afternoons!:icon_thumright:

I bought a pick and 4 footprints from Bunk recently. I will NOT go out there again without them! Keep them a SECRET! Terry
