How to Become a History Detective. (a 12 Part Free Series )

How to Become a History Detective is a 12 Part Series I wrote to share with the detecting community which has given me so many incredible adventures and memories in the 52 years I have detected. At the end of the series, I promise you will understand and be able to find places few have ever found.

I would like to invite you to learn how to become the person who finds the truly rare treasures and relics that are still out there. It will teach you how to think about, understand, research, and locate sites most metal detectorists have never touched. Over more than 5 decades of treasure hunting, I have learned that finding the truly good sites begins before the detector is turned on.

I learned research from detecting legends using paper maps, old books, courthouse records, libraries, newspapers, and conversations with local historians. I still use those resources, but today much of the work can also be done through digital maps, historical databases, aerial photographs, LiDAR, and other computer-based research tools. This course speaks to these and even more.

That is what the History Detective series on FocusSpeed.com is about.

The series explains how to study history sources, study old roads, trails, crossings, springs, camps, stage routes, military activity, forgotten settlements, terrain, water sources, travel distances, and human behavior to accurately determine where people once stopped, gathered, worked, or camped.

It is not about getting someone else’s coordinates. It is not about hunting parks or scraped lots. It is about learning how to find the incredible historical locations for yourself. https://focusspeed.com/history-dete...8UNuSmmypcbRKO9wOQ_aem_GGdODGzGNZIsqGuq9wUFXQ

I invite you to read the complete series free at FocusSpeed.com and begin looking at historical records, old maps and landscapes in a different way.

Do not just search where history from the recent past is already known. Learn to investigate where the untouched history really is.
