How to Do Florida..... Metal Detecting

That coin found looks too good. Way too clean. The cobs I have found on the treasure coast have been black and looked like flat rocks.

I also suggest that the treasure coast is not the best place to hunt as the sanding that the government has been doing has buried anything on the beach under several feet of sand. The only time I would go there is when a hurricane passes through. Then you have a way better chance to find anything. There have been some jewels found on the beaches so there is a chance to find something of value but finding silver or gold coins is very rare lately. Even the old timers there don't detect the Treasure coast much as they know that finds are very rare.

Hey it is a video that advertises so that people will travel to Florida, specifically the Treasure Coast and spend money.

I bet that the coin was a plant and not really found on the beach.

I gotta agree.

Their tracks show that they've gone a big 70 feet to find a silver colored cob and class ring.

Better luck than I have.

Both the coin and the class ring were found years
ago.... This two minute video teaser is just meant to be a re-creation
of how coins, rings and other items of genuine interest
can be found.......

Nobody is attempting to deceive anyone.... come on folks
lighten up! If we spent about an hour finding bottle caps
and pop tops - do you really think this would stimulate public interest
in the passion and hobby of metal detecting!

I'm a walkin', detector swingin' reality show...............

I have to disagree somewhat about the government bringing in sand. Yes they do this but guess what, more times than not, I have found something that was brought in from out in the ocean by those sand dredges.

One time on Bradenton beach while they were dredging sand out of the Gulf, they brought in 3 or more Spanish Reales.

Yes after a storm is a good time, but also when they bring in sand from out in the ocean is also good.

Nice video! Don't sweat the negativity it seems to go around here. Your doing your thing. Thanks for helping bring entertainment to the hobby like a few others. Those who hate are just jealouos.
