I didn't see any other forum catagories for this, but there must be work out there for small to large commercial operations. I am interested if anybody has any opinions or leads on this. I am thinking it might be a nice way to spend the summer, but most importantly, a good way to learn quickly from experienced miners.

Thanks,

You don't give us much to work with. You could be in Oregon or Maine so how could anyone help you find work?

Well, I live in California, but I'm willing to go anywhere for a good opportunity.

Well it seems that you were able to manage to find this site on the internet. I assume that if you also check Craig's List, monster, or any other employment venue you may have some success :tongue3:

Hi Hurricane,

If you want to mine for Oil, or just want a Very High paying job check into Williston, North Dakota...All the major companies are hiring and the pay is appr. $40/hour 12 Hrs/day + plus overtime...the McDonalds workers are even making $20/hour. (So I've heard)

Call Cudd, Haliburton etc. Be physically fit and Have to pass drug test...Also secure a place to stay with the company first or bring an RV..(hard to get a spot to park, etc)

Here's a link...(and other boom towns opening up just research)

Hi Gleaner1,

I probably miss-spoke and assumed its hard work...I'm sure there are all kinds of different jobs including those of varying abilities and I'm just assuming they require "no illegal drugs" in the drug test...The companies are securing housing for their workers so one doesn't need an RV. It looks as though people just show up in the town and then have no place to stay and end up sleeping in their cars...either by choice or poor planning.

Not sure, just heard about this from people who work there and want to hire.
