Clevise? Might be i'm only on my second cup of coffee but I cant picture what your talking about....

Addendum: Never mind the question I found the answer in another post.

My answer is that there is no quick way to fix it short of duct tape ;) Without a picture to see what is broken and how what Idea's I have in mind just now will have to stay idle. Take to long to write them all down :)

That's why I keep a spare on hand. Many years ago (before I wised up) I broke one and had to make a wooden replica while waiting for a replacement part. It worked ok but it was pretty fragile looking so I had to be real easy with it.

Do yourself a favor and buy 2 new ones. When you break one, repair it with the second one and order another spare. Also try to be more careful with that instrument. I haven't broken one in 40+ years of detecting all over the USA. Frank...

Or buy a First Texas Instrument. Something that doesn't break when you look at it!
