How to tell the date of this coin?

Am I missing something on here? How do you tell the date of this thing? I got one florin Victoria. Date of? I don't even know how to tell at all?

It looks like 1852 in roman numerals in the lower right obverse by her shoulder. MDXXXLII

Look under web site for "list of roman numerals from 1-5000"; I agree as 1883. Nice find.
