if a box of halves is sealed properly upon picking it up? I read another post on TNet where someone mentioned 1 or both boxes appeared to have broken seals when they picked them up from their bank. Do Loomis or Brinks(or any others) boxes have a specific type of seal as to color or material(cellophane or paper tape,etc.) that should be in place to indicate they have not been previously opened? Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I looked over older posts and did not see it mentioned elsewhere.

All the boxes i've ever looked at have been sealed well with glue. I'd think that tampering would be evident - usually I damage the tops pretty good when opening. I just plastic tape it up when I'm done, and turn over the box (to my CU)

My boxes (Brink's) are taped shut with brown tape.

My boxes aren't actually boxes. They are a sealed plastic bag with 50 rolls in it.

mine are glued too...its hard to open them as said w/out destroying them...good luck on ur box! keep it up and hh!

mine are also sealed with brown tape (brinks).. BUT
About 3 months ago i got a box that was ripped on the side and i almost rejected it cause i thought someone went through the box and returned it. eventually i took it and had 5 40%ers in it 8)

also last week i picked up $220 in half rolls, all of them were open and hand-crimped in one side so i was sure it was someone's dumps but i did find 3 90%ers and 13 40%ers, along with 1 clad proof.

so now i just take whatever they have lol..

My Brink box every week is taped with brown reinforced tape. Super easy to open.

I get brinks boxes that are taped along one edge, really easy to open but definitely tamper evident. A teller at one bank that gets me a box a week sometimes rips the side open to sell a few rolls to customers (Since she says she can only order one box a week). I don't mind too much, just wish she'd open the box correctly so it wasn't all shredded on one side.
