Hey yall.

Just getting back into detecting. Picked up a Fisher F5 and got out this weekend. Ran it wide open so I could try and learn this machine. I have to say it is quite the machine! Combed a beach at a local lake today, scored a bunch of tabs, bottle caps, and 11 cents in clad. LOL

All in good fun and learned a lot of the beeps and blips this Fisher F5 makes. Looking forward to conversing with yall.

Fuzzy.

Welcome back!

Best of luck in your future hunts! Looking forward to seeing your finds!

Congrats on your new machine and welcome back to the hobby. Every machine has a certain amount of learning curve that you have to deal with. You will pick up on the language of the F5 in no time. Good luck on our next hunt.

Where in e tex are you, I'm around the mineola area.

John

Welcome from SE Texas. Would like to play with a F5 sometime. Hear they are nice machines.

I had a Ace 250 years ago, but this mineralized soil in East Texas would make that thing go crazy!! That is one reason i looked for an F5, and it has proven to be very effective in my soil.

Hey Fuzzy!! Welcome to TNet!!

My wife was born in Orange, Tx. and raised in Vidor. She moved to south east Oregon about 48 years ago and wouldn't go back....good thing for me!! People down there are so nice and polite.....not so in my state anymore!! Well, I'm just ramblin' on.....WELCOME and GOOD HUNTING!!:hello:

I had an F5, and it was my main unit for many years.

Welcome back, fuzzy! The wife and I have been talking seriously about moving to your great state of Texas but we just can't seem to give up this 20 below zero temps and feet upon feet of snow that we both love so much.:BangHead:

Howdy from Houston.
Best of luck to you.

Welcome to Tnet! Im just down the road from you between emory and canton. Have family in Longview though so detect there some times. Lots of good areas to detect around you its just a matter of doing research to locate them. My best finds I attribute more to the time I spent researching than the time I spent detecting.

Welcome back from Massachusetts! Happy Hunting in 2015!
