It's hard not to love it here, that's for sure. If I can find some viable treasure hunting methods locally, that'd be incredible. I can't imagine having a reason to go play in the woods, beyond the sheer recreation of it ;p

Man, are you in a great area for digging the ghost towns!
My first token dug was from Rico, Colorado, and it started a obsession that has lasted 15 years.
You don't say if you detected in Jersey, if you did you might be disappointed by the age difference in finds.
1900-to now, relatively common.
1890's, little harder.
1880's, a pleasant surprise.
1870's and older, mini-heart attacks.
But if you look for gold, you're in the right spot. Tokens are my find of choice, and you are surrounded by ghost towns, old mining camps,
and railroad related stuff.
