How much do you think you make per hour, or what is your goal?

I aim for $25 an hour. Since I figure that I have an hour in each item when it is all said and done, from finding the items to taking pics to listing them to packing them, it means I have to have $35 items at least.

Just curious what other people aim for.

My strategy right now is that it is better to have one $100 item than 4 $25 items, and so I take the extra time to find that $100 item, and I don't buy the item that will sell for $25 even though it may be the coolest thing ever.

I don't know. Its about the hustle baby! I got the itch to pick and flip. I am always looking to increase efficency. Go to you tube and watch all Gilldaddy and Dallas Moore videos and you can learn alot.

Don't knock the small stuff if it is easy to list and ship!
I purchased a stack of PS3 games for $1 each and they sold between 8-12 easch on average
Since they have a UPC I scanned them in and used the stock photo . Shipping involves sticking the game in to a padded envelope.
So it takes me at most 10 minutes each for the whole process from listing to shipping.
At an a average profit of around $7 each X 6 per hour that would equal $42 an hour.

Some things I consider before purchasing an item

Ease of shipment (is it a pain to pack? easy to break ? )
Ease of listing ( Do I need to clean it , fix it , test it , take lots of pictures, write a long description)
Value of item
Item interest ( how long will I have to wait before someone buys it)
Size (will it take up a lot of my limited inventory space)

I just spent the last hour listing 9 items. I hope to sell them for $250 (or more) when they all sell. I have maybe $40 invested in them and another hour it will take to package them all. So that's 2 hours of work plus $40 invested and the gas and time it took when buying, minus the ebay and pp fees equals about $150 or more for a couple hours work. I hope to make at least $40-$50 per hour minimum if looked at on an hour by hour basis.

Edit- IMO, An hourly figure isn't very relevant if you aren't selling full time. It isn't something I really even think about, if I were to be completely honest. Maybe it's because I don't work by the hour in my day job so I don't look at things that way except when it comes to payroll.
