Not a Cartwheel though ;D

I tried a different field today! Nothing very exciting, but I had a good day thinking that find was just round the corner. When I
saw the large penny in the mud I thought I had something that might finally end the humiliation and public ridicule that I have
suffered at the hands of Iron Patch. It wasn't to be though, I think this is later than the Cartwheels.

Got a good few coppers and another 17th c token, that's the third one from here!
A worn jetton and a spud gun :D

Couple of wotsits too!

Hi Shaun, co-incidentally I've made reference to George III pennies of circa 1806 in my latest post earlier this evening... by any chance is your coin 35mm with a weight of approx 18grams? If so it substantiates my point in that posting.
Nice work on the finds by the way.

Hello Hodge, I don't know about the weight, but it's just under 35mm!

It's one of the Soho ones in Spinks!

In circulation 1806 - 08 ...George 3rd Penny, as you say Soho mint.
Not a common find, extra well done... even in poor condition!

It still added up to an alright hunt. Sure looked like an Axe head :icon_thumright:

Yep you scared me for a sec! ;D But then I thought what are the chances.... about zero! :laughing7:

Hard to see the Georgie but 06/07 makes the most sense. Never seen an 08.
