Well managed to get a full days detecting with a couple friends from out of town...hit a spot from years back that had some more clearing done.
171 musket balls in 1 hole..beating my previous record of 109..plus thimble, buttons, 3 pieces of flint, 2 complete shoe buckles, 1 Geo II....all from french site

That's a lot of lead! Very cool.... Congrats!
 

I love it. Lead is probably the strongest signal you can dig. That must have been an overload.

What's your theory on why so many in one spot? Perhaps in a pouch that was dropped?

all in one hole must have been in a cloth bag at the time of loss but seems odd that they are different sizes. Strange but really cool

There are 4 that I can see..I dont have the pellet ones in there as That is another dig...likely lost or forgotten about..they call them being different sizes Buck & Ball..typical for 18th century..
