I don’t want to give the site away since too much info would make it easy to figure out, but I got a HUGE permission to hunt a James-Younger site today. It’s about an hour in a half away so it will be a month or so before I can get out but I’m pretty excited!
Ohh... and icing on the cake, pick up my Equinox 600 on Wednesday!

You might need to amend that to a Younger site as Cole Younger never said who the 2 fellows that got away from the Northfield robbery were the James boys. The James boys never took credit for it either. Good luck.

Well, sir, it just so happens that I have recently moved into your area. :laughing7:

True, but eye witness accounts from that day do more for me than their silence. They didn’t talk about anything haha
There’s something in those hills!

Well, welcome! What part of the metro are you in? I’m in the South.

In Coon Rapids at the moment. Gonna get shipped out to ND for work soon and buying a house afterward. Been wanting to do some detecting, but the weather has been ridiculous lol. I'm working a short job down by the river in downtown St Paul, and I am definitely bringing my detector with me for some after-work-digging tomorrow. The parks at the river front look pretty promising, although I'm sure they've been pounded.

Right on! Yea this “Spring” has been disgusting. When it comes to city and county parks without major historical significance, I’m usually more of a “ask for forgiveness instead of permission” kind of guy. I figure if they can’t post a sign it can’t be to big of a deal. I think Minneapolis makes you get a permit... I really don’t remember. I mainly hit up old farmsteads and homesteads in the boonies. Head over to the Minnesota forum and let us know what ya find!
