Hah! I wuz wonderin what you meant by Hula hoop! I got the epoxy for my 10inch but decided to wait for the warranty to expire before application. I have a cover on it which is sealed with RTV silicone to keep out the sand and water.

well sweep

when u remove your sealed up coil cover, i want u to tell us all what u find

okay

I had sealed my coil cover and when it acted up I removed the cover to find water and black sand had gotten in through a small gap in the silicone sealant. You'd think nothing could get in, but it does. I've been removing the covers, but the epoxy sounds like a fine idea.

Thanx,
Sandman

sandman
u got it right

sealing is a waste of good time for anyone

covers do make good frisbies

good luck - see ya

Max, Ok, I figured the possibility of an imperfect seal and I have several tubes of the epoxy you used. So please sir, tell me exactly what you used (paint brush?) to apply the epoxy to your Hula-Hoop. It looks like you airbrushed it on!
Jim

I used the same thing as Max on the same coil.

It applies well with a small 1" throw away paint brush. Pick out the loose hairs.

Thanks guys;
I have all the stuff I need to do it. My coil seems to be doing fine sealed (so far).
