Hummel Park in Omaha, NE

Anybody hunt this park? I've gone there a couple of times, and have found some decent finds. Not sure how much it has been hit, but if you go into the woods, there are treasures to be found.

nealb, hi,i grew up in omaha and hummel park has alot of history to it.
at one point there was a hermit that lived in the woods forever,i saw him when i was a kid,they say he had money to live on?
others said he was a survivor, who knows?
he lived in a cave they said,i don't know.
that area is mormon trail to the max......research should go a long ways.

I'd just be a little nervous that the gold ring that I found might have a finger attached to it if I went detecting there.

I wouldnt hunt there w/ out a bunch of people you know w/ you. alot of crime happens at the area
