Hunt tell it's over what a pay off !

The year was good and the last day was a hit. Started out working an old spot I have put lots of time in, and today was as good as ever. It was slow at first but dug some parts of a Harmonica reed and got a Iron just laying on the top, How I didn't find this on some of my hunts here just sitting there... wow. The day was going fast and I was thinking of pulling out but something made me go over the creek to a house site so off I go. First hit was a hole Harmonica reed that was cool most of them are in pieces when I dig them. Then I got one of those big you got2dig hit and up poped the US, I had to set there for some time just looking, it's been three years since I got a plate. I've seen some come up but not by me so wow. After the wow was gone, back to the hunt... pulled out part of a pocket watch then had one more big hit and the star came up, still need to know what it is and I know that you guys will help on that. It will be next year when I get it all cleaned up.. I'll post more pics. For now the year is almost gone and the last day of 2012 I got my plate and then some. Thanks for looking. Yep, Matt Dillon that's what I thought to. I still have to clean it up but it is brass.

As for for the star, I found this It says that it's a decrative
nail or stud At 2" I was hoping that it's not what you found. Looks like yours may be more rounded on the edge too. Congrats and I'll talk to ya next year.

That's what I thought it came off a saddle. The one I found wasn't lead filled and its got a threaded stud off the back.I checked it with some of my saddles and the stud is to long for the thickness of my saddles.It could still be for a saddle or tack of some sort.I have know clue.But he's definitely in a great place to hunt.Keep up the great work buddy for 2013.HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
