"Hunted" Old Home Site Yields Silvers and More!

I recently asked permission to hunt a site where there had been an old house, and was told that it had already been hunted by "another guy". I was a bit dismayed, but he said "knock yourself out", so I started hunting anyway.

I wonder what that "other guy" found, because I'm liking what he missed!

Unfortunately, the way the dirt has been moved around I think a lot of goodies are buried down there never to be seen again, most likely.

Still, I managed to save a few goodies.

Just because someone else hunted it, doesnt mean they found anything. Great job, love the site of silver.

Glad you got permission to find those nice goodies! Sounds like whoever was there before may not have had as good a detector, or was as profficient with their detector as you are. That 1908D Barber dime is especially nice, but those are real nice wheaties for Portland area too. Was the house in Portland? What part (NE, SE, NW, SW)?
