prototype today
well rained saturday, had cabin fever...........bad for me to get it

i can tell u i will be coming out with a new Surfasplorer for 2006 in a few months...............i tested the proto type today that i modded up sat.............worked good mounted under the arm.........

i glued and screwed a pices of 1" pve pipe to the top and just slid it over the old garrett shaft i use for a handle.

still gold less, but the weather cleared up, rain stopped and snow stopped, sun came out, went in, back and forth, so i grabbed the frankensplorer and off we went.

good luck to everyone who goes next week.

Max do you like your EXP like that looks like it would be heavy or does it balance out the coil better. Not that I pay much attention to the display but it looks like it would be hidden also.

i had it mounted behind the arm cup for about 1 hours, had adapter piece i used, but i moved it under where u see it and i really liked it...................balance was great

screen.............not to easy to see..............

i am going to build me a new smaller box and eliminate the batteries and make it somewhat smaller

the first prototype i just had the box mounted on alum shaft and used excalibur battery pack...................that is what i am going to do soon................have the batteries externally mounted elsewhere, probably behind arm cup..............may use excal. battery pod like i did at first, or may make two waterproof pods using the AAA's like we used here................maybe 8.............1.5's

who knows.....................cabin fever drives me crazy..................

Cabin fever I know what you mean. I think we need to pack up and head to bike week in daytona. The race is also there this weekend should be around 70,000 or so folks down for the race.
