Well guys n gals I'm back to hunting but can't get out as much as I would really like. I got out today in the light rain we are having and I almost didn't go. Glad I did! I got a couple unusual things today. My daughter lives in a very small house that used to be some 40-50 years ago a tourist rental cabin. It is very small but since it has been there for many years and it was orginally used for tourist I figured I might find some older coins. I don't seem to have the luck you guys have with finding coins much older than 1960! Anyway back to my hunt story... This is my second time hunting there and I found more toy cars. Found a bunch of them the first time I went there. None of them are very old, a few years maybe. Here is a composit of what I found today.
I found a heavy metal crucifix but it is not silver. It is about 5 inches overall and I looked and looked for the broken piece but didn't find it. Here is a front and back view of that.
Then I found another neat thing and I have no idea what it is supposed to be used for. It is a metal frog on a lily pad. You can see the design pretty clearly.
If you look real close you can see a screw or nut on the back with a small curved slot which when moved moves the frog.
I also came home with 1.37 in clad but not one of those coins is an old one. Oh well I'll keep looking. I found a bullet casing, and some other odds and ends. All in all it was a great hunt today. Hope everyone else's was as good.
Oh by the way. The little orange man that is plastic... I found him because he was next to a quarter. I thought I was going to find a toy truck or tractor with him but I didn't.
