Hunting in Valdosta, Ga

Hi guys on the road traveling coast to coast and have decided to stay a month in Valdosta, Ga.
Does anyone know if there are parks here you can hunt or any good places to detect that are within 50 miles of Valdosta. Thanks and Happy hunting to all. Ted
