Hunting salt water beaches

I know the Whites DFX works. I have never taken it in the water though, it's to expensive if dropped, lol.

Tom read 7 or 8 post down on Tesoro Compadre beach hunting

Just wondering if anybody has maybe used the tenjon or vanquero on the beaches

I was wondering to but, I just bought the tiger shark instead.it be to costly to drop my machine in sand or water over a penny

Tom, I use my Vaq on the Texas beaches and I have no problems, not much mineralization here. Once in a while I get a small pocket of mineralized something and have to pass it by, but not very often. I hunt right down to the waters edge and sometimes submerge the coil a couple inches, with no problems. I can't run in the boost mode and usually run the sens below 6. Dug clad coins from 6+ inches.

Just my experience, my Tejon doesn't seem to like the wet sand here in Va beach. It's great in the dry sand.

I have noticed my cibola gets a little eratic on fresh water beaches by water

Anybody had any luck with any of the land machines,,Looking to upgrade for beach and land,,Thanks

Tom(CONN),

You are up against it if you expect to get a detector that will work well on land and on CT. beaches. I am assuming by beach hunting you mean getting down close or in the wet salt sand. better to get two detectors, each suited to these environments, even if you have to buy used. Just my opinion. Joe
