That is a great question, I spent every summer in Forest Falls at my parents cabin and did some serious swimming in that canyon, saws lots of pyrite but did not occur to me at that time to be looking for gold. I had family in Beaumont for many years but they have moved to AZ and Palm Desert.

I know there's plenty of god mines in Big Bear, so why not give it a shot? You might find something.

I've been going up to mill creek for 3 weeks now on Wednesday and/or Thursday.
I'm easy to spot, white van only sluice box on the creek.
There is gold there but I'm unable to process enough dirt .
I keep getting side tracked with sharing my lunch with the birds or "look at that butterfly"or I start flying my kites.
I'm going up there by my self and I'll be up there off hiway 38 on the first part of the creek west of forest falls east of the the ranger station right side of the road.right were the road starts to incline,me white chevy 3500 van.
I'm getting color in my mats but just not moveing enough dirt,it gets hard for me to focus when I'm alone
