I am hooked!

I have only been here a short time, but I am hooked. I have just finished searching $250 in nickels (not a drop in the bucket for most of you) however, here is what I found:

1-1946S 2-1957
1-1946D 1-1955D
1-1947 1-1958D
1-1947S 2-1959D

Lots of 1960'S

I also found several bisons. I have read about a "speared" bisons, not sure what to look for on them.

Question-are any of these keepers? Any need to keep the 1960's? What to look for on the bisons?

This really has been lots of fun.

That is some other variety of a speared bison, but not the uncommon, valuable one.

Love the nickels. I did nickels mainly for the good part of 5 years in hopes of getting a complete Jefferson set out of circulation, still waiting on the 39D though. Lots of interesting finds and you never get skunked on nickels if you save the pre-60s.

I'm doing the same thing right now do to lack of funds because of school and a newborn, I have actually done quite well at filling my holes, Has anyone found current S-Mints in circulation? I know they were only released as proofs but I have hoped to find a few in my rolls. Anyway, nice haul on the nickels, they are alot of fun on little money, with a chance of scoring a little silver once in awhile

Ive been wondering that too, I havnt found more than 2 circulated current S's.

WH-yea, my wife and I are big Prine fans. Bought his first album in late 60's. We go to see him whenever possible. I think he is one of the best writers ever, I mean who else could come up with "naked as the eyes of a clown" . You a fan?

I too am a huge John Prine fan, and Paradise is actually a town in Kentucky. It's on the map in Muhlenberg County, down by the Green River.....
